You need to first think why you want to write an eBook: Some want to make money while some want to promote their business and some write it for free as a hobby. For any of the above reasons you need have a basic research done before you start. Those who want to promote their business will include affiliate links embedded in the content while those who want to make money will have the ads or the affiliate links, which will take the user directly to their affiliate website.
2. Choose a Subject :
What is the subject of your e-book. You can write on a variety of topics or subjects but the best would be the one which you are experienced in. The important factors you need to think before are: will the user buy the e-book of your subject. What is the competition for that subject in the market, how is yours different from others. So do a brainstorming  to finally choose a subject for your eBook.
3. Write :
As you write the eBook you should keep in mind that the reader will not have much interest if you are writing in the traditional style. One of the tricks is to try to attract the reader by giving a negative touch to the content so that it will make it more interesting to them. Selection of Titles to eBook is vital as it should make the reader feel like going through the eBook. Other important technical factors include the alignment of the content and formatting of the page.

After you finish writing the eBook, you need to create a nice cover to it. E-books cover design should be attractive and professional. When a user is having a look at a number of e-books on a website, it is the cover of the e-book which makes it special. Different types of software are used to make this cover. The content of your eBook should be converted to PDF format or to kindle format specifically for Amazon. PDF format is the most widely used one.

It’s time to publish your eBook. Before you do it you need to decide the price of your eBook. If you price it much higher you will get less sales, if you keep it at a very lower price the reader may think the content is submissive. The best price will be between 10 to 20 dollars.

You can publish you eBook in two ways:

A. Self-Publishing: You can publish the eBook on your own website, by placing it at an appropriate place where it can attract the maximum readers. You can use PayPal for payment processing.

B. On-line Publishers: You can submit your eBook to any online publishers like lulu.com, who will actually manage the hosting and selling part and offer you a best percentage from the sales every time they sell your eBook.
